Ab Exercise: Toe Touch

Here is an easy ab exercise you can do from anywhere (home, hotel room, office, etc.). It’s a variation of the ever popular crunch.

Toe Touch

  • Find a flat surface to lay down on (mat, carpet, grass, etc – preferably not pavement)
  • Extend legs straight in the air (as straight as you can – this will challenge the flexibility in your hamstrings).
  • Keep your head/neck in a neutral position.
  • Brace your abs tight.
  • Reach up towards your toes and “crunch.”
  • Hold it for a slight pause at the top.
  • Then return to the ground keeping your abs tight the whole time (observe pics).
  • Keep the exercise fluid (not jerky movements).
