A Special Thank You…

My wife and I love being able to bless others.  There’s something very freeing about it and if you’re a Christian, giving/blessing others is Biblical and honors Jesus (I actually think it makes Him smile). Sometime it’s hard for people to receive blessings.  I have struggled with this in the past.  Even around this time last year, we were in a time of need (long story) and someone tried to give us a car.  Yeah GIVE us a car.  Initially I wanted to refuse if it was free and kept trying to offer some money in exchange.  But I remember him saying, “I see what you’re trying to do.  You’re trying to rob me of the opportunity to bless you.  It’s God’s car anyways…“  Yeah he called me out (with a line I had even used several times before).  So I swallowed my pride and accepted the gift and thanked God for His provision. I think God smiled on Tim and Sabine that day.

Recently we were blessed anonymously.  Not sure who or what persons did this but initially I started over-thinking it and tried to figure out who it was, etc. but then felt God remind me to just accept/receive.  And we did and are very thankful and humbled by this and pray you are blessed for your generosity.  For as much as we’d like to know and thank you in person, it was purposefully anonymous.  So thank you again from the Buhlers…

Why is it hard to receive sometimes?  Pride?  Worry that we might “owe” someone something?  Or aren’t sure if someone’s intentions are pure?  Or we don’t want to take advantage of someone?… Well letting all these things get in the way can rob both the blesser and person being blessed.  A true gift from someone comes with no strings attached. Their reward is outside of the gift.  So learn to receive if someone is blessing you. And if you haven’t blessed someone before or recently, try it.  It could change your life!
