Mental toughness is many things and rather difficult to explain. Its qualities are sacrifice and self-denial. Also, most importantly, it is combined with a perfectly disciplined will that refuses to give in. It’s a state of mind-you could call it character in action.” Vince Lombardi

If you have aggressive fitness goals, they won’t happen easily.  You know that.  A lot of this is a mental game.  Mental toughness is required.  And if you don’t have it, the truth is you’re probably in trouble and won’t last.  You might start strong but when the progress and results slow or come to a halt so will you.  And the goal will eventually become another resolution that will pass until the next year comes along and the cycle will continue.  But that’s what the average do.  And your not average.  You’re better than that.

The good thing is mental discipline can be developed.  But it’s going to take sacrifice and denial on your part.  Yeah those aren’t easy but it will help push you through when it gets really tough.  But does anything that really is good in life, come easy?  Get my point. Another good thing is, that when you reach your goal(s), you’ll appreciate your accomplishment that much more.  You’ve worked hard for it.  And the mental toughness and discipline you’ve developed during this process, will carry over into other areas of your life.  And then look out, there’s no stopping you then! Make a decision today to refuse to give in.  You owe it to yourself and deserve it…
