Sometimes we are deceived by taking things out of context. For example we associate turkey with being healthy and it can be for the most part but not always. Someone the other day got a Sierra Turkey Sandwich on Asiago Cheese Focaccia at Panera Bread thinking they were making a healthy choice. Were they? Well being that they were trying to slim down, then not so much. If you do your homework, that sandwich actually has 970 calories and 54g of fat. Whoa!
So take a minute when you’re about to order and ask for a menu with the nutritional info if its not already posted or check it out in advance online. Check out the calories, fat, etc. You’ll be surprised. Some of the “healthy” choices you think you’re making could be actually doing more harm than good. There are other options on Panera’s menu with half as many calories and fat. See for yourself: Panera’s Nutrional Info. So do your body good by doing your homework!
