What is a fitness bootcamp?
A fitness bootcamp/boot camp is an organized group training class utilizing a variety of exercises and focusing on a variety of fitness components. Though the term “boot camp” broadly applies to military-style training, fitness bootcamps can be for everyone. It is a place where people of all fitness levels work side-by-side, hold each other accountable, support each other, build camaraderie, and reach new fitness levels together. With the instruction and direction of experienced personal trainers/bootcamp instructors who set up workouts, teach correct form and movement patterns, motivate clients to push their limits and more.
How will I benefit from joining this camp?
Working in this setting can offer a multitude of benefits. Check out the short list below for improvements you may experience when participating:
Burn body fat
Variety/Change (no more mundane, boring workouts)
Reduced risk of injury
Less aches and pains
Improve your quality of life
I have never worked out / I am extremely overweight. Do I have to be in shape to join?
Absolutely NOT. All fitness levels are welcome and will benefit. The Body By Buck Bootcamp specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level and at the same time. A 60 year old overweight female can work side by side with a 20 year old athlete in the same group and both will be challenged at their own fitness level. Our members are expected to give 110% at their given fitness level. In each session we show progressions and regressions for each exercise to allow for these different levels to operate to their maximum potential in the same environment.
You have already taken your first step in acknowledging that you want to be in better shape and it’s really tough trying to do it alone. Remember, the best athletes in the world hire trainers to push them to reach the pinnacle of their profession. We strive for the same thing in bootcamp!
I have a medical condition. Can I still participate?
If you have a medical condition that could be affected by strenuous exercise, you will need to get medical clearance from your doctor before you can participate.
What kind of results can I expect?
It honestly depends primarily on how badly you want to achieve your goals, how hard you are willing to work and how disciplined you are outside of class. If you work hard in bootcamp but don’t work at your nutrition and eat poorly all week, it’s going to be difficult to transform your body. But I can guarantee you will burn fat, build muscle, and improve your fitness level and overall health and have some fun while doing it. If you commit to the entire plan that we have for you, you can expect to see noticeable results in the way you look and feel.
What does an average day look like?
We always start every workout with a great warm up/stretch. Once warmed up, we teach technique and the workout of the day and then everyone gets after it. Workouts will vary everyday – lots of bodyweight circuits, weight training, bands, medicine balls, intervals, kettlebells, fitness games, agility drills, relays, core strengthening, jump ropes, etc. It changes a lot. Nothing is ever routine about the workouts and they progress/increase in difficulty with time. All fitness levels are accommodated as regressions and progressions can be made for all exercises.
How long do the bootcamps run?
Each training session is about 45 min to 1 hour which typically includes a warm-up, strength work, cardio, cool-down, and flexibility and regeneration work.
Is there a nutrition program involved?
Yes. The number one most important component of any weight loss program is NUTRITION. You’ll hear us say this over and over: “YOU CAN’T OUT TRAIN A POOR DIET!” We provide all clients with our tried and proven Nutrition Program upon joining through our members only website which includes nutrition plans and guidance as well as bonus workouts. This is an integral part of our client’s success, as we will provide you with the proper tools to get started on the right track towards creating your new healthy lifestyle. We also provide you with delicious recipes that will help you burn body fat. Each and every member of the Body By Buck Bootcamp is expected to create a healthy clean eating lifestyle.
Do you have a newsletter?
Yes our bi-monthly newsletter is packed with health and fitness tips, strategies and ideas that you can use to live a better life as well as the latest Body By Buck news. You can sign up for it here.
Do you recommend any supplements?
If you are looking for cheap products with shady manufacturing processes and you don’t care about the quality of what you are ingesting, then these aren’t for you. However, if you are a busy person and you want to cut through all the hassle to work with a nutritional company you can trust and you want to simply order a safe professional grade nutritional product that delivers on its promises, then we highly recommend Prograde Nutrition.
But If I could only take one supplement or only recommend one, this would be it…GREENS. I Highly Recommend it! I’ve been using it and it’s the best greens product around. It helps me make sure I don’t miss anything with my nutrition.
Isn’t cardio better for fat burning?
Cardio can be an important part of a fat loss program. Without the components of Nutrition and High Intensity Strength Training you will not build lean muscle or increase your metabolism. Our goal for each client is to turn your body into a fat burning machine. Our clients can see rapid results in as little as 2-3 boot camp sessions per week while following our tried and proven program. We provide every client with a metabolic boosting cardio program.
In a bootcamp session, will I get enough individual attention?
Yes, you will get all the motivation, guidance, instruction and support that you need. Every session has time at the end to handle individual Q & A. We are ALWAYS here to answer any questions or concerns about anything relating to our clients training, nutrition, and supplementation.
Are you certified? Insured?
Yes. We hold multiple fitness certifications as well as a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. Check out our ABOUT page for more info. Body By Buck is fully insured.
Where is this located?
Our NEW indoor location is at 12777B E Independence Blvd. Stallings NC 28105.
What should I wear? What do I need to bring?
You need to wear comfortable athletic shoes and workout clothes. Avoid anything too baggy, as it makes it difficult to properly analyze your posture and positioning during exercise. As far as what to bring – not much as we provide the equipment needed for your class. A water bottle for quick hydration is recommended because you will sweat. There is a water fountain for refills.
Is there a bathroom/shower at your facility?
We have a restroom and water fountain. We also have some potential shower options available. Contact us for more info.
How much does the program cost?
We have various membership levels. Please contact us here or call 980-428-9348 for more info on our membership programs.
